Oh goody, there's to be yet another sports movie centered around a rivalry based on real people. Hurrah.
Although I'm sure at least some people will be excited to hear that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will be playing the lead in the upcoming biopic Gold based on the professional life of Sebastian Coe - the four time Olympic medal winner.
To be fair to it, the film was co-written by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionarie) and Will Davies (er, Johnny English and Johnny English reborn) and the script is one of the most buzzed about in Hollywood.
According to Screen Daily, Harry Daniel will be reunited with his The Woman in Black director James Watkins who will take the reins.
Credit has to be given to Daniel who is running up a serious bank of titles post-Potter. He will next be seen in Kill Your Darlings, which will hit Irish screens in early December, and has no less than three more movies set for release in 2014. Good man Daniel!
