In a genius casting move (though some would say logical) a real Irishman will be playing a real Irishman; Chris O'Dowd has signed up to star as journalist David Walsh in a biopic about disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong.
He will join Kill Your Darling's Ben Foster, who will play Mr. Doping Cheat himself, in the much anticipated film that will be directed by Stephen Frears, the man who brought us The Queen and Philomena. Jesse Plemons (Todd in Breaking Bad) and The Beach actor Guillaume Canet are set to co-star.
The as-yet untitled film will be based on Walsh's book Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong and will cover Armstrong's life from his early superstardom in the 1990s to his recent fall from glory.
Interestingly, it will go up against another Armstrong pic Red Blooded American starring the gorgeous Bradley Cooper. Ben Foster Vs Bradley Coop? That's one fight we would pay to see.
