In today's casting net we bring you the following juicy bits (of fish? Is there a fish analogy that relates to film? I must find out).
As per the Latino Review, Bradley Cooper is rumoured to be starring in Guardians of the Galaxy as the Rocket Raccoon, a super powerful heroic yet smart-ass raccoon who teams up with the other guardians to protect us from all evil, so we're told. This would be one of the last members of the group to be cast. Personally I prefer to see Cooper than hear him, but we're sure he'd do the furry little f*cker justice.
Kenneth Brannagh's just cast Hayley Atwell in his forthcoming Cinderella. Atwell broke the news via her own Twitter page. Then in an interview with the BBC, she revealed that she would star as Cinderella's mother. "When Cinderella is 5 years old she loses her mum and she's a good mum - that's all I can really say, that it's her biological mum... I'm really looking forward to working with [Branagh] - he knows how your mind works, so it's wonderful. He's very thorough, like a theatre director." Atwell joins Cate Blanchett and more.
In not so great news, Benedict Cumberbatch has decided to opt out of Guillermo Del Toro's forthcoming haunted house horror, Crimson Peak. As per Variety, Cumberbatch has left for reasons unknown. He leaves behind Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam.
