You heard that right - the 'Home Alone' reboot is headed full steam ahead as it acquires three cast members.
Most of you know and love the first two films starring the young, adorable Macaulay Culkin. But did you know there have actually been five 'Home Alone' movies??
The fourth and fifth installment were made-for-TV and this reboot is for Disney+.
The new story sees a wife and husband, desperate to save their home from financial ruin, rage war with a kid who has stolen a priceless heirloom. Said kid will not be Kevin McCallister but a whole new character.
You'll most definitely know the actors that have reportedly been cast as the parents - Ellie Kemper and Rob Delaney.
Ellie Kemper is renowned for 'The Office' and her titular role in Netflix series 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'.
Rob Delaney co-wrote and co-stars in 'Catastrophe' alongside Sharon Horgan. Delaney also popped up in 'The Hustle', 'Hobbs & Shaw' and 'Rocketman', and played Peter in 'Deadpool 2'.
The lead of the feature will be Archie Yates, the breakout star of 'Jojo Rabbit'. The Taika Waititi-helmed Hitler satire hits Irish cinemas early next year.
Mind you, the new film won't actually be titled 'Home Alone' as sources say it's being labelled as such due to the similarities in concept.
Dan Mazer ('Dirty Grandpa') will direct the film and 'Saturday Night Live' writers Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell are penning the script.
Shooting starts early 2020 in Canada so we might have it as soon as next Christmas.
