It was only a matter of time before Carrie Fisher got in on the Star Wars action; now she, along with Harrison Ford, are interested in roles. But of course she is, Princess Leia made her and she hasn't done a whole lot of notable work since. The only thing other than Star Wars that springs to mind was her turn as Sally's desperate best friend in When Harry Met Sally (one of my fave movies ever). So, Princess Leia and Han Solo together again? Will we meet them at the age they're at now having last seen them in Return of the Jedi? Who knows, these are musings only true Star Wars fans can speculate over. What we will say is that while Ford is aging like a fine wine, Fisher... not so much.
As per TMZ, if Fisher gets offered a role, she'll take it. Not only would this make her a princess again, it would make her a Disney princess.
"Yes, sure," she said. "Wouldn't you?"
On the recent news that LucasFilm has sold the rights over to the folk at Disney, Fisher added that she thinks it is "fantastic". "It made my day."
