Following on from last night's news, a report by Associated Press has confirmed that Carrie Fisher is now in a stable condition.
Fisher's brother, Todd Fisher, made the statement to AP late last night and said that she was "out of emergency condition" at the moment. Variety also confirmed that Fisher is still, however, in the ICU at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Reports had surfaced that paramedics took almost 15 minutes trying to revive Fisher before she was rushed to hospital.
Fisher - who turned 60 this year - is no stranger to health problems, and has been open about her many problems with mental health, alcoholism and drug abuse through the years.
Many of her co-stars from Star Wars and fans - both young and old - have offered their well wishes for a speedy recovery.
