Despite not really setting the silver screen alight with her feature film debut in 2002's Crossroads, Britney Spears is eyeing a return to movies.
The pop singer, who has just begun a two-year Las Vegas performance residency, has said that she would "love" to return to movies - when the time is right.
In an interview with E! Online, Spears indicated that comedy would be her chosen genre. "If it was the right part, it would be really cool… I love funny movies", she was quoted as saying.
Britney also indicated that Jennifer Aniston's We're The Millers and the Paul Feig comedy Bridesmaids were her favourite flicks.
Spears is strongly rumoured to be quitting music once her Vegas residency ends in 2015 but the questions is; will any Hollywood casting directors be queuing up to get Britney into their movies? We suppose time will tell on that one..
