It's long been in development, but at long last, Bridget Jones' threequel is kicking off production.
Tipped for a September 2016 release, Bridget Jones's Baby has officially begun filming although details on the plot are light on the ground. It's understood that the third film will not be based on the latest Bridget Jones novel, Mad About The Boy, but will instead be based on the short stories and columns written by Helen Fielding.
The latest novel sees (spoilers, obviously) Jones, now a mother to two children, getting back into the dating game following the death of her husband, Mark D'Arcy. The novel sees Jones having a toyboy romance with a much younger man called Roxster. Although he's not yet officially confirmed, it's widely believed that Colin Firth will be returning in the role.

However, Hugh Grant has said that he will not be returning to the role of Daniel Cleaver. Meanwhile, Grey's Anatomy's Patrick Dempsey has been officially signed on for an undisclosed role. Rumours suggest that Dempsey will be taking over the role from Hugh Grant, however nothing's been confirmed.
