Bradley Cooper is to make his directorial debut on a remake of A Star Is Born, replacing original director Clint Eastwood - who he just worked with on the smash hit American Sniper.
Eastwood was attached to the project for some time, with Beyonce in the lead role. But when she became pregnant the project stalled and Eastwood moved on to another musical, Jersey Boys.
Cooper has produced a lot of films recently and was considering a few projects as his first directorial effort. He's currently working with David O'Russell and Jennifer Lawrence again in Joy, and has both Adam Jones and Aloha due for release this year.
American Sniper is the biggest American film of the year, shooting (sorry) past half a billion dollars at the box office. Cooper couldn't be any hotter right now.
