Bradley Cooper is to star in a baseball drama from Disney, that The Hollywood Reporter describes as a cross between Scent of a Woman and The Rookie - booya!
In the flick that was penned by Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps writer, Allan Loeb, Cooper would play a major league baseball star that must go back to the minors when he gets injured. Playing in a small town, the only place he can stay is an old folks home, where he meets a coffin dodger who helps him rediscover his form. According to the trades, it's based on a true story.
No director is being mentioned at the moment, but these types of films (The Blind Side, Field of Dreams) are generally seen as box-office gold, and possible awards contenders if done right. Cooper will next be seen in The A-Team, at the end of July.
