Brad Pitt is negotiations to star in The Yards director James Gray's action thriller The Gray Man, according to the folks at Heat Vision.
The story follows a "CIA operative-turned-assassin" who is marked by his bosses to be whacked. He has to dodge some bullets while saving the daughters who don't know he existed. Sounds pretty straight forward for Pitt, who is incredibly fussy about what he stars in nowadays as he and the other half rotate film roles while the other takes care of the kids. Evidently he found a gap in his schedule and will shoot this in January - after he wraps highly anticipated novel adaptation World War Z.
Pitt next has the baseball drama Moneyball with Jonah Hill due out in November, while Gray last directed ponderous character piece, Two Lovers starring Joaquin "not really whacky" Phoenix.
