Ben Affleck is to star in the film The Company Men, which has the same title as the recently announced Ron Livingston movie, but is quite different sounding. Affleck will play a dude laid off from his job, who is struggling to make ends meet at home with mounting bills. John Wells, who has been producing ER since it first graced our screens 14 years ago will write, produce and direct the film, which has another male lead yet to be cast. Affleck is seriously epitomising the word 'comeback' after finally finding his feet as an actor, and spectacularly so as a director. He'll next be seen opposite Russell Crowe in the thriller State of Play, the romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You; and he's also prepping his Gone Baby Gone follow up, The Town.
