Can't imagine there'll be too many hungry after getting a slice of this, though... Get it? Cake? Hunger Games? Baking? The process of digestion?

Lara Clarke is a Belfast baker that creates some pretty spectacular food worthy of note, and in advance of the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I, she decided that Jennifer Lawrence aka Katniss Everdeen needed a cake in tribute to her.

She entered the piece, which stands at an impressive 5'10" tall, to the Cake International festival at the end of last week in Birmingham, and she went home with the gold.

Clarke is originally from Belfast, but now lives in Walsall, where she bakes as a hobby, rather than as a full time gig: "Baking is my hobby. It's just something I do on the side. I do love doing what I do but I wouldn't want to become a baker, because I don't want to get sick of it."

She also made a Tyron Lannister cake, her favourite character from game of Thrones, which is of course filmed in her homeland, so that was something special for her too. The cakes took her nearly 250 hours to make over a space of two-and-a-half months, and Katniss alone required about 150 eggs, 10kg (22lb) flour and 10kg butter.

This isn't her first life-sized cake however, as she also won awards for her Johnny Depp effort last year, but when she was asked what she was planning for her next project, she told The Belfast Telegraph that she has some time off planned instead, and is looking forward to a bit of a lie down ahead of her upcoming wedding.
