Pre-sales on the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast are currently breaking records, according to Fandango.
The film is tracking to smash records ahead of its March 17th bow for a PG release. The previous record holder is Finding Dory with $135 million over 3 days. 'Beast' is tracking somewhere between $120 and $140 million, but given the buzz many expect it to go higher.
Emma Watson, Dan Stevens and Luke Evans star in the flick, directed by Bill Condon. It's continuing a staggering winning streak for Disney who currently own the rights for a heap of films in the Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar universes.
Now with the success of this and The Jungle Book, they have a whole new way of printing that sweet, sweet cash.
It opens here in Ireland this week also.
