'Avengers: Endgame' is vying to become the highest grossing movie ever one more time.
Currently, 'Endgame' has made $2.743 billion at the box office worldwide. The only film that surpasses it is 'Avatar' at $2.788 billion.
But the MCU head honchos haven't quite given up on the record just yet - Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that 'Avengers: Endgame' is heading back to the big screen for a theatrical re-release.
While attending the 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' press junket in London, Feige was asked about an Endgame re-release with new footage.
He told Comicbook.com: "We are doing that.
"I don't know if it's been announced. And I don't know how much [new footage]... Yeah, we're doing it next weekend."
Given it's arriving next weekend, that also means Marvel fans can see it again before 'Far From Home'. The Spidey flick hits theatres July 5th.
Feige also talked to Screen Rant about the extended version of 'Endgame'. It looks like those dissatisfied by the lack of end credits will be happy.
He said this version is:
"Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend."
Thus we'll have to wait for the home release for extra scenes from 'Endgame.'
