It was a matter of time before there was a Steve Jobs biopic, and Aaron Sorkin was tapped pretty quickly by Sony to take control of his. Now, though, Ashton Kutcher looks to headline another one.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kutcher will portray the famed, recently passed innovator in the independent flick, Jobs. Walter Isaacson wrote the recently published autobiography on Jobs that Sony purchased the rights to, and pursued Sorkin to adapt; the Kutcher version will be hoping to move faster, with Swing Vote director Joshua Michael Stern calling the shots.
Competing films just means more press, but this one is a go with Kutcher set to shoot during the summer on his break from Two and a Half Men. The Sorkin one is a while off... if it happens at all.
