Are you sitting down? Good. They're making a Spongebob Squarepants sequel. That's right, the weird-as-f*ck cartoon series released a movie back in 2004 and the sequel is due to be released in 2015. The real story, however, is that Antonio Banderas has signed on to play a pirate. That's right, a friggin' pirate.
The live-action sequences are already being filmed in the US and is expected to run for the next month or so. Banderas, of course, is no stranger to animation, having played Puss in Shrek and the spin-off and this month's release, Justin And The Knights of Valour.
As yet, there's no word if Scarlett Johansson or Alec Baldwin will be returning in their roles and we have every finger crossed that The Hoff will also get another cameo in the sequel.
All together now - who lives in a pineapple under the sea?!
