Skylar Astin, who Anna Kendrick fell for in surprise hit Pitch Perfect, will return for the sequel that's currently lensing for Universal Pictures.
The first film did solid business theatrically and then found an even wider audience for home viewing, thus pushing the studio into green-lighting a sequel. Katey Sagal and Hailee Steinfeld are both new additions to Pitch Perfect 2, while other returning cast members include Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine and Brittany Snow and producer Elizabeth Banks.
We can expect to see this one in May of 2015.
