In an interview with Access Hollywood, Anne Hathaway speaks about how much she would love a Catwoman spin off. Shortly after the film hit our screens back in July, Christopher Nolan spoke about how he thinks Hathaway deserves to return as Catwoman in her own movie. The actress has since expressed how much she would like to seize the opportunity.
When questioned about the potential sequel the Les Mis actress said 'No-one's talked to me about it,I would love it.' She continued by saying it makes her cry how much she misses the character.'I actually - it's so embarrassing - I was at a press Q&A thing the other night for a screening of The Dark Knight, and the moderator asked me, 'So what was it like to say goodbye to the character?' And I burst into tears, because I miss her.' Holding back the tears in this interview as well Hathaway added 'It just makes me cry. I miss her. I love Selina so much and I love her presence in my life and getting to... I'm crying again. So assuming there was enough Kleenex in the world, I would love to do a spinoff.' Pull yourself together woman!
Whether or not a sequel will happen it remains to be seen but Nolan quashed any rumours of him being involved in the film stating 'For me, Gotham and these characters, I'm done. I've told our story and I’m moving on,' 'I certainly think she deserves it, she’s incredible.' What do you think would you like to see Anne Hathaway get her own spinoff?
Meanwhile Hathaway is set to star in Les Miserables which comes to our shores on the 11th January.
