It's kind of surprising that Amy Poehler hasn't already directed a film, but that's all set to change with 'Wine Country' - a new comedy that she is making for Netflix.
Poehler will both direct and star in the film alongside a pretty amazing all-female cast that includes her regular partner-in-crime Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Paula Pell, Ana Gasteyer and Emily Spivey. Spivey - who worked on SNL and Parks and Recreation with Poehler - co-wrote the script, alongside Liz Cacowksi (SNL).
The story follows a group of longtime friends who go to Napa Valley aka Wine Country to celebrate a 50th birthday, and it's set to start shooting at the end of this month in LA and Napa.
We're already fierce excited about this one.
