As inexplicably late sequels go, this one probably tops the prize. Universal Pictures are apparently extremely keen on making another theatrical American Pie film.
The studio last saw big returns for American Wedding, in 2003, and have also released a series of shambolic, but profitable direct-to-DVD titles. Word is that they want some of the original cast to come back, and they are thought to be interested.
The only one still starring in hit comedies today is Seann William Scott, while Jason Biggs had too many flops in a row. Harold and Kumar Get The Munchies writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg are writing the script.
