Amanda Seyfried has just been cast in the title role of the long mooted biopic of porn star, Linda Lovelace, reports Variety.

Seyfried is currently starring opposite Justin Timberlake in the Andrew Niccol directed, In Time, and last headlined the flop pseudo-Twilight flick, Red Riding Hood. 'Lovelace' will be based on Eric Danville's biography about Linda Boreman, who later became one of the most desired and famous actresses on earth after starring in Deep Throat. James Franco and Kate Hudson were both attached at different points, but what may be the male lead now looks likely to be played by the rarely less than great, Peter Sarsgaard (Jarhead, Green Lantern).

Howl directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman will call the shots and the production will get under way before rival Lovelace biopic, Inferno, set to star Malin Akerman and Matt Dillion.
