Actor and singer Alexis Arquette has died at the age of 47.
As well as starring in The Wedding Singer, Pulp Fiction, Lords of Dogtown and a number of cult horrors, Alexis Arquette was also a notable activist for transsexual rights and causes.
She transitioned publicly from male to female and documented her experience in 2007, with many of her friends and family supporting her. She also had a brief cameo in Friends, starring alongside her then sister-in-law Courtney Cox, as a waitress in a drag show bar.

Alexis Arquette is survived by her two sisters, Rosanna and Patricia Arquette, and her two brothers, David and Richmond Arquette.
