According to reports, Girls star Adam Driver will apparently play the son of Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher’s characters, Han Solo and Princess Leia, in the JJ Abrams directed Star Wars films.
It was initially suggested that Driver may play a villain, or more specifically a ‘Sith Lord’ and while Jedi News are saying his character does become enticed by the dark side (like his Grandda), he’s by no means a series villain.
That said, who knows when it comes to the enigmatic world of JJ Abrams. He managed to keep the vast majority of the cast under wraps for a huge amount of time - which is mental when you consider the intense fan focus that was surrounding the production long before cameras even rolled.
And roll they will, this week. Shooting is set to kick off Abu Dhabi. So they say. Could be Australia for all we know.
