Accidental action movie director Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) is in talks to direct the film adaptation of the racing game, Need for Speed, says Variety.
I say accidental because Act of Valor was never meant to be a feature film, but actually a recruitment video for the Navy Seals that ended up topping the American box-office when it was released a few months ago. Waugh was heavily involved in stunt work before then, and despite that movies obvious flaws, the action was well-handled on a slim enough budget. Need for Speed has been a game adaptation that has been mooted for some time.
I would expect a movie with a lot of car chases and general car porn, with maybe some scantily clad women. Hey, Hollywood likes what Hollywood likes...
