Predator. We all know it. A movie-must from 1987 and all time favourite for many. Then there was Predator 2, Alien Vs Predator, and the 2010 installment, named Predators, none of which pleased fans anywhere as much as the original did.
Now rumour has it we can expect yet another movie about some horrendous looking extra-terrestrial yoke running around wreaking havoc on those who seek it out. Admittedly I'm not a massive Predator fan, but I can see why most of you are (what with quotes like 'I ain't got time to bleed' etc). Personally, my own experience with this franchise goes as far as pretending to laugh as my dad churns out the same joke time and time again wherein he compares my mother's face to that of the predator's when she wakes up in the morning. Classic Dad fare right there.
While we knew there was rumblings of something in the pipeline, we hadn't heard much in a while. That was until yesterday when the film's official FB page posted this teaser image, prompting the more discerning film geeks among us to believe that a new Predator movie would be announced at this year's Comic Con in San Diego.
That being said, it could well be something far less exciting, like a video game or a comic book.
Nevertheless, let's day dream: Are you ready for another Predator movie? What if Arnold Schwarzenegger came back? Would that give it a fighting chance to live up to the original's awesomeness?
