As of last weekend, 'Frozen 2' has become the sixth release for Disney to make $1+ billion globally in 2019.
The sequel is also the third Walt Disney Animations Studios release to top $1 billion alongside 'Frozen' and 'Zootopia'.
'Frozen 2' also now stands as the eighth-highest grossing movie of the year and the seventh-biggest animated film ever.
Last weekend, , according to Box Office Mojo, the animated feature slipped to second place at the box office as 'Jumanji: The Next Level' took first place with a $60.1 million opening.
This made the 'Jumanji' sequel the 13th largest December opening ever and the largest December debut for Sony.
Mind you, the Dwayne Johnson starrer will have to compete with 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' hitting cinemas this week.
Incredibly, even without 'Star Wars', Disney became the first studio in history to surpass $10 billion worldwide earlier this December.
Among its five other movies to cross $1 billion are superhero flicks 'Avengers: Endgame' and 'Captain Marvel'. Remakes 'Aladdin' and 'The Lion King' also crossed the benchmark as did 'Toy Story 4'.
