We are getting a Glee film, but not one where the cast learn life lessons about individuality in a mildly irreverent musical way, but rather a concert film. Shameless attempt at printing money? Neeeeeeever.
Fame helmer Kevin Tancharoen will direct the concert film, which will naturally be shot in 3D. Series regulars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Mark Salling, Dianna Agron, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Harry Shum Jr, Chord Overstreet, Darren Criss and Ashley Fink will all appear in the concert film. It will also apparently incorporate some behind the scenes footage.
I watched the first batch of episodes of Glee before everything went all, eh, Gaga, and it was enjoyable enough fluff. Haven't gone back since, mind.
