It wouldn't take a genius of a casting director to think of Zac Efron's name when casting the notorious 1970's serial killer Ted Bundy.

There's an uncanny physical similarity between the two. But as Efron points out below, it took a lot more than just natural looks for him to play Bundy in the Joe Berlinger-directed biographical crime thriller 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile'. Berlinger also directed 'Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes' the recent Netflix documentary.

Efron had to walk the tightrope of picking up body language, mannerisms and ticks without doing a full on impersonation. And just by chance, the person sitting beside him on the couch knows more than most about the difficulty of transforming into a notorious serial killer.

Charlize Theron was able to pitch in and give details about her transformation into Aileen Wuornos in Patty Jenkins' 'Monster'. It's a fascinating combination between the two, check it out here:
