The Hollywood Reporter this morning have an interesting story on the money that the cast of American Reunion, the third sequel in the hit comedy franchise, American Pie, are making.
According to the trade paper, franchise stars, Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott will each take home around $5 million for the flick. In the $3 million bracket are (one of the most successful stars of the franchise) Alyson Hannigan and Jim's dad, Eugene Levy (who slummed it repeatedly in the direct to DVD sequels). The rest of the core cast, Chris Klein, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Natasha Lyonne, Jennifer Coolidge, Mena Suvari and Shannon Elizabeth will pocket half a million, to three quarter million for their parts - except for Tara Reid who apparently closed a deal for 250,000.
No one will be shocked that Tara Reid is earning less than everyone else, but I am surprised that Biggs is earning top dollar. I really like him (his twitter is hilarious), but Scott is the closest thing to a movie star out of that group. We will see the comedy on April 6th.
