Straight from the horse's mouth, the next entry in the 'Thor' franchise at Marvel Studios is going to be another rip-roaring sci-fi/fantasy/comic book/space adventure.

Taika Waititi, who we all know and love from 'Thor: Ragnarok', 'What We Do In The Shadows' and 'Jojo Rabbit', has said that his next project 'Thor: Love and Thunder' might be so batsh*t crazy that he'll never be able to work a day ever again.

Speaking with Empire, the creator teased how mad his next 'Thor' movie will be, promising that he's going to push the envelope ever further than 'Ragnarok'. We wouldn't expect anything less, to be honest.

He told the publication: "Well, just between (me and) you and the readers, I’ve done some crazy sh*t in my life. I’ve lived, like, 10 lifetimes. But it’s the craziest film I’ve ever done.

"If you wrote down all the elements of this film, it shouldn’t make sense. It’s almost like it shouldn’t be made. If you walked into a room and said, ‘I want this and this and this.' Who’s in it? These people. What are you going to call it? 'Love And Thunder'. I mean, you’d never work again. Maybe I won’t after this."

However unhinged it may be, we're pretty thankful that Taika Waititi is returning to helm 'Thor: Love and Thunder'. The New Zealand director breathed new life into a MCU franchise that - no offence to the first two 'Thor' entries - was struggling to keep us entertained.

The fourth 'Thor' will once again see Chris Hemsworth star as the titular character, but this time he'll be joined by the cast of 'The Guardians of the Galaxy'. Tessa Thompson will be on hand as Valkyrie, Jamie Alexander as Sif, and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. Matt Damon, Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, Melissa McCarthy, Sam Neil and Luke Hemsworth will also feature, not forgetting Waititi who will be back as the voice of Korg.

'Thor: Love and Thunder' will hit cinemas on May 6, 2022.
