We got to interview Samuel L Jackson for 'Captain Marvel', in which he plays Nick Fury for the tenth time.
We also asked Samuel about that beautiful, ecstatic moment at the Academy Awards in which he presented Spike Lee with an Oscar. The 'Blackkklansman' director won for Best Adapted Screenplay, an honour he shared with Charlie Wachtel, David Rabinowitz and Kevin Willmott.
"It was great," Jackson said. "Brie [Larson] and I had talked about it, knowing that I was going to be up there and he had a very good possibility of winning the award. We've known each other for so long and done so much together. It was a real joy to be able to call his name and to be there when that happened."
Spike Lee previously directed Jackson in such films as 'Do the Right Thing', 'School Daze' and, most famously, 'Jungle Fever.'
Samuel L Jackson also talked about the Oscars becoming more diverse.
"I think that every kind of movie should have an opportunity to win [one]," he said. "It's the time of year when you're celebrating films and what's supposed to be the best of that or the things that people like the most about films.
"I tend to do films that make me happy, I don't know that that's necessarily not a criterion for an Oscar film. I don't know that it needs to be something that's deep, meaningful and make people cry as opposed to entertaining and making them feel good."
