The busiest man in showbiz might be getting another job.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has made no secret of his wish to play DC’s Black Adam, first mentioning the villain way back in 2008 and teasing fans with this Christmas message last year. At one stage there were rumours he may appear opposite his arch nemesis in Shazam or even in Justice League.
It’s still early days but according to The Wrap, he might be FINALLY getting his chance. They are reporting that in the new Suicide Squad movie the gang will be tasked with tracking down a weapon of mass destruction- that weapon being Black Adam himself.
According to The Wrap production on Suicide Squad 2 is slated to begin in October 2018 with a few scheduling issues for The Rock still to be ironed out.
Why is there even a sequel, you may ask? The first Suicide Squad (somehow) pulled in $750 million worldwide on a $175 million budget before promotion and advertising. Here’s a quick reminder:
