Although Daniel Craig and 'No Time To Die' still has to be released in cinemas, the question still remains as to who will replace him in the tuxedo as James Bond.
Over the years, names like our own Cillian Murphy and Aidan Turner, 'McMafia' star James Norton, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, and James McAvoy have all been mentioned as possible contenders.
However, in recent weeks - pretty much since 'Bridgerton' dropped on Netflix - one name has come up again and again, and it's Regé-Jean Page, who played Simon Basset in the steamy series. In a recent interview on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Page answered the rumours in a roundabout way.
"If you're a Brit, and you do something of any kind of renown that people regard well, then people start saying the 'B' word. It's like a merit badge. You get the 'B' word merit badge," Page explained.
"I'm very, very glad to have the badge," he went on. "I'm glad to be in such wonderful company of people who have the badge. But it's a badge."
Much of the speculation, it must be said, seems to have either Tom Hardy or James Norton in the lead for the role, but much of it is just that - speculation. Indeed, there's nothing to stop Daniel Craig staying on in the role if he so desires. That being said, given how certain he was that he was done after 'Spectre', it could well be that 'No Time To Die' is the end for him in the tuxedo.
'Bridgerton' is currently streaming on Netflix, and 'No Time To Die' is slated for release on April 2nd, 2021.
