Could The Avengers be re-assembling to save The Oscars?

With Kevin Hart stepping down from hosting duties of The Oscars ceremony in February, the event is currently host-less. But never fear puny citizens, as it looks like The Avengers will be here to save the day.

If a deal can be secured in time for the awards show on February 24th, we might be seeing different actors rotating their hosting duties. And the cast of The Avengers are The Oscars' number one choice. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is looking for the likes of Iron Man, Black Widow, and Thor to take part.

With the cast of The Avengers being pretty diverse and reaching far and wide, it could be a stroke of genius from the ceremony. Add to that the fact 'Avengers: Endgame' trailer was the most-watched trailer in 24hrs, it's likely the cast would have a fan or two if they took on hosting duties.

With the likes of Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Spider-Man (Tom Holland), it'll certainly be a star-studded night if a deal is truck.

There's also 'Captain Marvel' which is being released very soon, so we could even see Brie Larson step up to the plate too. Not to forget the scene-stealing secondary characters and villains such as Shuri (Letitia Wright) and Thanos himself (Josh Brolin); and we have a stellar hosting line-up.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, with The Academy declining to comment. However, it's been said that many of The Avengers alum were asked not to present at the recent Golden Globes, so as to have an "even bigger impact" on the audience if it were to happen.

Hopefully we'll get confirmation soon on hosting duties; however, as per Disney, there might be a few surprises left to be revealed until the night itself.
