Broadway star Lin Manuel-Miranda is conquering the big screen as fast the stage.

Lin starred in 'Mary Poppins Returns' last year, earning a Golden Globe nod for his performance. He wrote the music for 'Moana' in 2016 and will be collaborating with Disney again for their live-action remake of 'The Little Mermaid'.

Before he went into movies, Lin Manuel-Miranda was best-known as the creator and star of 'Hamilton' and 'In the Heights'.

The second is being adapted for the big screen and hits cinemas next year.

Set in Washington Heights, the story follows bodega owner Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), as he saves every penny from his daily grind and hopes, imagines and sings about a better life. After inheriting his grandmother's fortune, he considers closing his store and retiring to the Dominican Republic. But he's feeling conflicted about the move.

Jon M. Chu, who helmed rom com box office smash 'Crazy Rich Asians', directs. There's a heap of Broadway stars in it so you know the singing is just going to be incredible. Plus Miranda plays a supporting role.
