Arguably one of the best horror movies to hit theatres this year, 'A Quiet Place' looks like it will definitely be getting a sequel, and thankfully John Krasinski will be back to give us all some fresh nightmares soon.
News from Collider is that 'The Office' star Krasinski will be back to write the horror/sci-fi sequel, but we have quite a wait until the movie sees the light of day, as it won't be arriving until 2020 at least. Krasinski said that he originally wasn't keen on making a sequel and stepped away from the project. However, he had a "small ideal" that might work, which he pitched to the studio, "And then I thought, ‘This might really work.’ So, I’m currently writing the sequel.” We can already feel ourselves clenching at the news.
Other details about the project are thin on the ground at the moment, with no news yet if Krasinski or wife Emily Blunt will reprise their roles in the sequel.
Krasinski also appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' earlier this week to talk about the success of 'A Quiet Place', and revealed that along with co-writing, directing, and starring in the movie, he played the motion-capture "monsters" of the original.
