Does Ridley Scott ever slow down, or is it one of those things where he'll keel over if he does?
After completing production on 'The Last Duel', the upcoming medieval love-triangle thriller filmed here in Ireland, he's now moved on to 'House of Gucci', another thriller set in the past - though, this time, it's the '90s.
'House of Gucci' follows the bizarre murder of Maurizio Gucci, grandson of the founder of the fashion brand, who was killed in a plot orchestrated by his ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani, after she left him for another women. Reggiani was later convicted and sent to jail, though her children with Gucci reportedly claimed that a brain tumour was the cause of the whole plot.
The movie will see Adam Driver in the role of Maurizio, while Lady Gaga will play Patrizia. They're not the only big name associated either. Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, and Jared Leto are all set to play members of the House of Gucci, with a release date slated for November 21st of this year.
If you're thinking to yourself that all those actors seem like they're sort of over-the-top, you're not alone. Odds are 'House of Gucci' is going to be an outrageously campy crime thriller, and you only need to look at that set photo to know what's happening.
