The Guardians of the Galaxy family is expanding.
It's been confirmed that Will Poulter is joining the cast of Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3'.
Poulter is known for his roles in such films as 'The Maze Runner', 'The Revenant' and 'Detroit'.
He also starred in the Netflix interactive film 'Black Mirror: Bandersnatch'.
The first two 'Guardians of the Galaxy' movies hit cinemas in 2014 and 2017.
The character of Adam Warlock was teased at the end of the latter movie, when Ayesha, played by Elizabeth Debicki, reveals that she has created the perfect Sovereign to take out the Guardians once and for all.
Poulter will be playing Warlock, as confirmed by director James Gunn.
Production on 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' is expected to start this November.
Chris Pratt is set to return as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Zoe Saldana as Gamora (following the events of Avengers: Endgame'), Karen Gillan as Nebula, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as Groot and Pom Klementieff as Mantis.
Plot details for the threequel are being kept under wraps.
Its release date is May 5, 2023, and before that, fans can look forward to 'The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special', which is set to air on Disney+ in December 2022.
It takes place between 'Thor: Love and Thunder' (which is set to feature all the Guardians) and 'GOTG Vol. 3'.
