We ain't afraid of no ghosts. And the cast ain't afraid of no reunion either, thankfully.
That's right, Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver will be appearing on Josh Gad's YouTube channel very soon for a 'Ghostbusters' reunion special.
Having already nailed a reunion with the cast of 'The Lord of the Rings', 'Back to the Future', 'Splash' and 'The Goonies', it was inevitable that the glaringly missing '80s movies be the next entry in his 'Reunited Apart' YouTube series.
Dialling into a virtual conversation with director Jason Reitman (whose Paul Rudd-led 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' reboot is in post-production), Gad asks if his father Ivan Reitman, might be free to join the call. Reitman senior of course directed both 'Ghostbusters' and 'Ghostbusters II', and he will be joining the rest of the cast in a run down memory lane next Monday.
And just to give us a brief taster of what's to come, the always delightful Potts read out her Janine Melnitz speech: "Do you believe in UFO's, Astral Projections, Mental Telepathy, ESP, Clairvoyance, Spirit Photography, Telekinetic Movement, Full-trance Mediums, the Loch Ness monster and the theory of Atlantis?"
As Gad says, if there's a reunion in it, we'll believe in anything she says.
Here's the teaser for the upcoming 'Ghostbusters' reunion special, which airs on his YouTube channel at 4pm on Monday, June 15.
Which other fan-favourite movies should Gad reunite in the near future do you think? We reckon the cast of 'E.T.' and 'Indiana Jones' might have a chance at being brought back together for the next entry in the 'Reunited Apart' series.
