It looks like the newest entry in the 'Ghostbusters' series is taking a leaf or two out of the 'Gremlins' universe.

We've been given a cute yet concerning new 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' teaser trailer, which sees Paul Rudd's character Mr. Grooberson make a worrying discovery while out shopping for ice cream.

There is a lot of excitement for this sequel, mostly because of the guest stars that are lined up to appear. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts will all be reprising their previous roles, however big or small they may be. They ain't afraid of no ghosts, after all.

Rudd will be leading the cast this time around, with 'Stranger Things' star Finn Wolfhard, 'The Leftovers' actor Carrie Coon, and 'The Haunting of Hill House' star Mckenna Grace all expected to suit up too.

The movie was originally due for release in summer 2020, but thanks to a reshuffle from Sony, we'll have it on our screens in the final part of this year.

Director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman return for this new entry in the 'Ghostbusters' series, which is expected to follow the events of 1989's 'Ghostbusters II', albeit 30-ish years later.

Here's the frightening - yet cute - 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' teaser trailer.

'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' is scheduled for release in November.
