English actress Florence Pugh has arrived in Ireland to shoot a new movie. The news arrives just a week after another major Hollywood porduction - the sequel to 'Enchanted', titled 'Disenchanted', starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and Maya Rudolph - wrapped filming.

Florence Pugh stars in 'The Wonder' which is an adaptation of the book of the same title by Emma Donoghue.

It's not the first book by the author that's made it to the big screen as her novel 'Room' was also made into a movie, starring Brie Larson and directed by Lenny Abrahamson.

'The Wonder' is a post-famine psychological thriller. It is set in the Irish Midlands in 1859.

An English nurse, Lib Wright (played by Florence Pugh), is summoned to a tiny village to observe what some are claiming as a medical anomaly or a miracle - a girl said to have survived without food for months.

Tourists have flocked to the cabin of eleven-year-old Anna O'Donnell, and a journalist has come down to cover the sensation.

Sebastián Lelio, whose previous credits include 'A Fantastic Woman' and 'Disobedience', directs 'The Wonder'.

Florence Pugh is very excited to be here in Ireland shooting the movie.

She took to Instagram to write: "Less traffic, greener hills, great Guinness. A different kind of Hollywood.. ??"

She shared the post with a picture of the Hollywood sign in Wicklow.

Florence Pugh is an Oscar-nominated actress for her role as Amy March in 'Little Women'.

She starred in the blockbuster 'Black Widow' opposite Scarlett Johansson earlier this year and will reprise her role from the movie, Yelena Belova, in the Marvel series 'Hawkeye' later this year.

She is also known for her role in the horror movie 'Midsommar'.

Upcoming roles also include 'Don't Worry Darling', which she stars in opposite Chris Pine and Harry Styles.
