The end of the summer has brought with it a great big blast of drama in the form of the 'Don't Worry Darling' premiere in Venice.

Did he? Didn't he? It's been the hot topic of the week, all of this Chris Pine/Harry Style spit talk. In case you've missed this golden nugget of speculation, here's the moment from Monday's 'Don't Worry Darling' premiere screening which has had everyone talking.

It's a very well-known fact by now that there are ructions in the 'Don't Worry Darling' camp. Apparently, it all began following Shia LaBeouf being "fired" from the film, which the actor has come out to say did not happen, telling director Olivia Wilde to speak the truth. Then there's the alleged Florence "Miss Flo" Pugh and Wilde feud that has been simmering since Styles was hired to replace LaBeouf. Judging from Monday's bizarre happenings at the premiere, there's certainly more to the story than we currently know.

Anyway, a representative for Chris Pine has come out to say that no, Harry Styles did not spit on him while taking his seat for the film's screening. They told Variety: "This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation."

"Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist."

The publication has also reached out to a rep for Styles.

The question still remains - why did Pine stop clapping so suddenly while Styles took his seat? It's likely that we'll never get a true answer to this, but we're still holding out hope that something or someone will eventually come out of the woodwork with more tantalising info at some point in the future.

Here are some more memes about the drama in case you didn't get enough yesterday.

'Don't Worry Darling' hits cinemas on September 23.
