If you wanted an idea of how unpredictable this year's Academy Awards are going to be, just look at how the awards leading up to it have been.

'Green Book' took home the Producers Guild Award, but now 'Black Panther' wins its SAG Awards equivalent, Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture. Again, Glenn Close wins Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for 'The Wife', but the movie itself doesn't win anywhere else. Same goes for Rami Malek picking up the male equivalent for 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

Further down, you've got Emily Blunt winning - finally - in the supporting category for 'A Quiet Place', yet expected winner Mahershala Ali also wins for 'Green Book'.

Normally, there's a uniformity to how these award ceremonies play out with one movie usually being pretty dominant and leading the path right up to Oscar night. 'A Star Is Born' was the expected favourite to win all of these right up until a week before the Golden Globes, but so far it hasn't had a prayer.

Over on the TV side of things, it seemed a lot more understandable with Amazon's 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' picking up awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for Rachel Brosnahan and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for Tony Shalhoub.

Sandra Oh took home another award for 'Killing Eve' in the drama category whilst 'Ozark' lead Jason Bateman won its male equivalent, whilst 'This Is Us' won the ensemble award in the same. Again, all of it reasonably predictable - and totally unlike the movies side of things.
