"The best Bond game since Goldeneye!" That's what they said. That was the promise they made. Making a bold statement like that is going to conjure images of four friends locked in combat, playing "one shot kills" with "pistols only" - you remember it was what made the N64 great; Goldeneye multiplayer.

So here we are, with a foolish brag from a foolish company, and I say foolish for one reason only, there is no shagging split screen multiplayer! And unless you have a wallet tapping 7mb broadband connection you are not going to get to play online either.

As for the story mode, another strong point to Goldeneye, it's pretty weak. They have only vaguely followed the storyline, arrogantly changing it to suit themselves ( I don't mind changing a scene to make it more playable, but here they go too far.)

Graphics are lovely and the game play is nice, button mapping is a little weird but you get used to it. It's just a shame that it doesn't come together.
