A new report from Daft.ie shows how expensive it is to buy a house near a railway station in Dublin.
The report shows the average asking price of a three-bedroom semi-detached house close to each station on the various rail networks.
It found that commuters living on the Dublin coastline pay on average the most for a property with Sandymount singled out as the most expensive location on the DART line with and average asking price of €727,000. Stations close to the coast occupy the most expensive slots with Dalkey (€690,000), Sandycove & Glasthule (€617,000), Salthill Monkstown (€658,000) and Sydney Parade (€652000) completing a DART top five.
Properties close to the Ranelagh Luas station command the highest average price on the green line, at €650,000.
While on the Red Line, those with homes at Spencer Dock pay most with prices averaging at €573,000.
The report comes from a sample of nearly 10,000 properties for sale during the 12 month period ending September 2015.
