You only need to look at the events in Charlottesville or the fact that someone like Stephen Bannon is - or at least was - in a position of great influence in the White House to know that fascism and white supremacy is bubbling over in America.

The follow-up to the alternate-history shooter Wolfenstein, titled Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, sets itself in an America where the Nazis have won and are now so embedded in their culture that you've got everything from Nazi military parades on the streets to KKK members proudly walking alongside them.

While the game is still to be released, early footage and trailers for the game have been pretty provocative - and the latest piece of marketing for the game is right on the nose.

Take a look.

Again, you have to remember that Wolfenstein has been around for years. In fact, it was pretty much responsible for the FPS genre and featured Nazis all the way back then. It's only now that something like this is seen as overtly political.

That'll just tell you how utterly messed up things are in the US at the minute. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus hits shelves on October 27th.
