The Marvel Vs. Capcom series isn't known for being anything close to subtle or stripped back, so it's heartening to see the fourth entry in the series taking it to new extremes.
Although the gameplay trailers for Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite have given us a taste of the sort of blindly fast gameplay we expect to see in the game, the first story trailer shows that it just doesn't just stop with crazy visuals either. A lot of the press material for the game talks about the emphasis being placed on single player mode, with a Cinematic Story Mode also playing a big part in the game experience.
The game sees Ultron from the Marvel Universe and Sigma from Mega Man X joining forces to - what else - destroy all organic life. The two merge dimensions and you've got Mega Man and Strider Hiryu fighting alongside Thor and Captain Marvel.
Like we said, it's nuts. Here's the story trailer. Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite is available from September 19th.
