Whenever there is a video game adaptation of a movie or a TV show, more often than not it turns out to be an unplayable pile of poo, much like the unwatchable piles of poo we get from movies based on video games. But with South Park: The Stick Of Truth, it looks like things are a little different, which could potentially make the game a lot better.
First of all, just like the TV show, all of the voices and the entire script for the game has been written by the series' co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, and they have remained involved in the making of the game since it's announcement way back in December 2011.
From the trailer, as well as early previews of the game, it would appear that you control "The New Kid", who has been gifted with the superpower of "being able to make new friends really, really fast", and you must use this power to collect fighters for your side of the war of Cartman VS Kyle, against the giant backdrop of South Park (once again) on the brink of destruction, although the exact details of that destruction are still being kept tightly under wraps.
Due to fit PlayStation 3, XBox 360 and PC on December 13th, expect to see this on A LOT of folks Christmas Wish Lists later this year, and check back in with us soon for a full review on the game itself!
