Using Kickstarter to fund a movie is all the rage these days, and that's how Zach Braff got his latest project off the ground
There's no doubting that video games have become big business, and this latest documentary aims to chart the rise of the medium from Pong all the way through to the life-like and cinematic epics that we know and enjoy today.
Directed by Jeremy Snead and produced by Zach Braff, the film was funded by a Kickstarter campaign online. It will be narrated by Sean Astin from Lord of the Rings and feature plenty of interviews with legends of the gaming world and famous celebs who are gamers.
The movie will be officially released on iTunes and other platforms on July 15th, and it will go on limited theatrical release in cinemas across the US and Canada from July 18th. You can pre-order the flick now too on the official website.
